The Rev. Don Parker assumed duties in November, 2016. He is married and has has two sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. Fr. Don is also the New England Director of The Order Of St. Luke a healing fellowship. His ministry motto is “TO KNOW JESUS AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN BY DOING AND TEACHING THE “STUFF” THAT HE DID: PROCLAIMING THE KINGDOM OF GOD, CASTING OUT DEMONS, HEALING THE SICK, AND MINISTERING UNDER THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.”
The Rev. Jane Hale is the Missional Curate for the New England Collaboration of parishes consisting of Trinity Church, Brooklyn; St. Alban’s, Danielson; and St. Philips – a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut designed to aid each congregation explore ways to serve the people in the area. Pastor Jane celebrates the Eucharist and preaches at St. Philip’s on the first Sunday of each month. She serves as Priest Associate at St. Philip’s.
Jayne and Kevin Collins lead the music at St. Philip’s. Kevin and Jayne have been married for 28 years and have been playing music at St. Philip’s for the vast majority of that time.They incorporate various instruments into the worship service including guitar, piano, ukulele, banjo and harmonica. Kevin and Jayne play both folk oriented praise music as well as some traditional hymns.
Jayne is currently a Spanish teacher at Woodstock Academy and Kevin is a semi-retired speech pathologist. They have two grown sons, Peter and Sam. Kevin and Jayne also play together in the Frog Rock Trio, a local band and in addition, Kevin plays with the K.C. Moaners based out of Rhode Island.
Jim Murray is the senior warden of St. Philip’s. The senior warden is the primary elected lay leader of the congregation.
